About ODU Center For Educational Innovation and Opportunity
Old Dominion University’s Center for Educational Innovation and Opportunity (ODUCEIO) is the hub of ODU’s lab school network, manages partnerships with other Virginia lab schools, coordinates research and best practices across Virginia, and provide expert guidance to lab school leaders. The Center fosters a culture of innovation in K-12 and higher education, and develops scalable strategies for educational programs statewide.
We are part of the Virginia College Partnership Lab School Ecosystem, which is made up of 15 Lab Schools across the states. In the that ecosystem is the ODU Lab School Network that consist of of 9 schools:
- 4 ODU-specific partnerships (STEM Academy, SmithTech, MEESA, AAES)- 5 additional partner schools connected with other colleges and universities across the Commonwealth of Virginia (Explore@RC, Future Educators Academy, SWVA-HEALS, MG-TEC IT Academy, and Isle Maritime Trades Academy)
Old Dominion University leads 4 Lab Schools in partnership with public school districts in Newport News, Suffolk, Chesapeake, and the Eastern Shore that YOU ARE PART OF.
